GINNT EXPO Budapest 2009
Mai postánkból. Srámli Ildikó írta:
"Tisztelt Partnerünk!
Ezúton szeretnénk meginvitálni vállalatát kiállítóként a Magyarországon először megrendezésre kerülő GINNT EXPO Budapest 2009 Kiállításra, mely nemzetközi kiállítás itthon az NKTH (Nemzetközi Kutatási és Technológiai Hivatal) és a GS1 MAGYARORSZÁG Zrt. támogatásával valósul meg.
Mi a célja a kiállításnak?
A látogatói kommunikációs kampányunk május elejétől veszi kezdetét. Bővebb információt sajtófőnökünktől, Takács Zsuzsától kaphat a takacs.zsuzsa@ginnt.hu e-mail címen.
Hol tudhatok meg bővebb információt a GINNT EXPO-ról?
A GINNT EXPO Budapest 2009 Kiállításról, a szakterületekről, kiállítói és szponzori csomagokról bővebb információt a www.ginnt.hu oldalon találhat.
Tartson Ön is velünk!

Welcome address
GSDI President for GSDI 11 in Rotterdam
On behalf of the GSDI Association, I invite you to attend our 11th GSDI World Conference in Rotterdam. This dynamic city is famous for its modern architecture and rapidly developing skyline, and was Europe’s cultural capital in 2001. Rotterdam is also one of the largest sea ports in the world where more than 70,000 people find their employment.
I am inviting you to participate in our conference, which hosts a strong team of partners. INSPIRE will present the major outcomes of spatial data infrastructure implementation in the 27 European Union countries. Our Dutch partners will present the outcomes of the innovative Space for Geo Information (RGI) program as well as the GIDEON program. Full attention for the acceleration of SDI Opportunities and Innovations!
The main theme of GSDI 11 is SDI convergence. By building symbolic geo-information bridges between societies, cooperation with spatial communities throughout the world is intensified. This convergence process leads to sharing of experiences and uncovering main successes in SDI societies throughout the world. Together an agenda can be produced to work on solutions for major global societal problems. This cooperation process will give us all inspiration to set up more strategic alliances for the longer term.
The large amount of excellent papers to be presented at our conference and the high level keynote speeches in our plenary sessions reflect perfectly our conference ambition. Conversion, bridge building and the creation of new dynamics for the future are the main elements for our GSDI 11 conference.
A special word of thanks go out to the members of the Local Organizing Committee, our GSDI 11 partners: JRC of the European Commission, EUROGI, the Dutch partners RGI, Geonovum (CHAIR), Kadaster and Delft University of Technology as well as our sponsors who made it possible to organize this GSDI 11 conference.
I wish you a very prosperous and fruitful conference and a pleasant stay in The Netherlands.
Bas Kok

Challenges in Geospatial Data Harmonisation Pre-Conference Workshop at AGILE 2009
From our daily mail. Dr. Joahim Rix of Fraunhofer Institute sent this announcement this morning:
CALL FOR PAPERS
Challenges in Geospatial Data Harmonisation
Pre-Conference Workshop at AGILE 2009
June 02, 2009
Hanover, Germany
http://www.esdi-humboldt.eu/events/agile2009.html
------------------------------
European Spatial Data Infrastructures (ESDI) integrate the diversity of
geospatial data available for a multitude of European organisations. The
implementation of SDI in the context of initiatives like INSPIRE, GMES
and SEIS, requires that the organisations document, publish and
harmonise their geospatial data and support users in accessing this
information in a suitable way.
Data harmonisation is about creating the possibility to combine data
from heterogeneous sources into integrated, consistent and unambiguous
information products, in a way that is of no concern to the end-user.
This poses many different research challenges for facilitating the
harmonisation of geospatial data and metadata by automating the
necessary steps as far as possible.
This workshop will bring together researchers from different communities
to investigate current strategies and discuss future research
collaborations in the wider context of data harmonisation. Further, the
idea of the workshop is to learn about ongoing activities in research
projects that provide successful test cases for enabling geospatial data
harmonisation.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
* Research in harmonisation processing for e.g. resolution,
generalisation, edge matching, multiple representation, schema
translation
* Conceptual Schema Translation
o Specification of the mapping process
o Formal language for the specification
* Quality
o Specification of quality evaluation processes for harmonisation
o Metrics for quality evaluation of mapping processes
o Investigating the impact of processing on the quality of data
* How to enable semantic interoperability?
o Approaches with formal semantics, collaborative approaches,
approaches from machine learning, ...
o How to measure and express thematic accuracy?
* Handling gridded data (multidimensional grids) or dynamic data
(e.g. mathematical models for forecasts)
o Harmonisation issues
o Harmonisation processes
* Automatic set up of data harmonisation process
o Identification of existing heterogeneities such as semantic,
geometric, resolution or others
o Methods to automatically assign a specific harmonisation
process to a detected heterogeneity?
o How to handle specification and execution of workflows for
web services to construct complex transformation services?
PAPER SUBMISSION
We invite submissions of short papers (1000 - 2000 words). We are
looking for innovative research ideas as well as experiences with
applications and technologies. We especially encourage young researcher
and PhD students to submit their work. All papers will be peer-reviewed
and accepted papers will be invited for presentation at the workshop.
Selected paper will be invited for an extended submission for a Special
Issue of the IJSDIR.

* Research in harmonisation processing for e.g. resolution,
generalisation, edge matching, multiple representation, schema
translation
* Conceptual Schema Translation
o Specification of the mapping process
o Formal language for the specification
* Quality
o Specification of quality evaluation processes for harmonisation
o Metrics for quality evaluation of mapping processes
o Investigating the impact of processing on the quality of data

Európai szintű címharmonizáció - EUROGI műhely Hollandiában
Az EUROGI az EURADIN (an eContent-funded project aimed to define a European infrastructure for address interoperability) konzorcium tagja, a FÖMI-vel és a Geox Kft-vel együtt.
A műhelyen más érdeklődők részvételére is számítanak.

HUNAGI és a PSI
Tavalyi meghívás alapján március elseje óta a HUNAGI Napló szerkesztője is részt vesz az európai PSI Platform (közadatok újrahasznosítása témakör) kommunikációs feladataiban. Ennek előzményei több évre nyúlnak vissza (GKM és MATISZ rendezte "imatermi" konferenciák (amelyen a FÖMI, Fővárosi Földhivatal, HUNAGI szakemberei is részt vettek), az ePSIplus koppenhágai, civil szervezetek bevonásával szervezett műhelye (melyen a MATISZ és a HUNAGI képviselői szerepeltek) vagy legutóbb az ePSIplus párizsi tematikus záróműhelye. Ez utóbbi rendezvény három kitüntetett területre, a téradatok, meteorológiai adatok és a jogi információk elérhetőségére összpontosított. Az ülésen a KvVM-HUNAGI szerződés keretében a COWI vezette HUNAGI Munkacsoport gazdasági hatástanulmányához is jól felhasználható dokumentumokhoz sikerült hozzájutni.
Emlékeztetőül legyen itt a közel négy évvel ezelött, az A38 hajón megszervezett ePSIplus műhely programja, melynek már akkor volt térinformatikai szekciója az FVM FTF, VÁTI, FÖMI, HUNAGI aktív részvételével.
