akkor érdemes figyelemmel kísérnie a rendezvényt.

A térkép elérhetősége : http://www.openstreetmap.org/

INSPIRE konferencia 2014

HUNAGI mai postájából:
"Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that call for abstracts for the INSPIRE 2014 Conference has been published.  We would also like to remind you that the public consultation on INSPIRE is still open.

INSPIRE Conference 2014: INSPIRE for good governance, 16-20 June 2014. Aalborg, Denmark

Seven years have passed since INSPIRE was adopted as the EU's legal framework establishing the infrastructure for spatial information in Europe serving policies and activities having an impact on the environment. During this period the framework of technical specifications necessary to underpin an interoperable infrastructure has been completed, and a major effort has taken place to implement the Directive in the Member States. It is now time for the mid-term evaluation to assess how well we are doing, and whether we are still on the right track. This conference comes therefore at a crucial stage to report on progress and get feedback from all the stakeholders involved.

Topics for which contributions are sought include, but are not limited to

  • INSPIRE supporting the implementation of environment law
  • INSPIRE and the integration of environmental concern in other policy areas
  • INSPIRE and climate change policy
  • INSPIRE in specific environmental policy areas (e.g. marine, arctic, freshwater, noise, air …)
  • INSPIRE for addressing environment-related threats to health
  • INSPIRE to reduce environmental risk and management of natural disasters
  • INSPIRE for boosting sustainable resource-efficiency and low-carbon growth
  • INSPIRE supporting urban and rural sustainability (Smart cities, Smart rural)
  • INSPIRE and public participation for social equity and environmental justice
  • INSPIRE for energy efficiency
  • INSPIRE for innovation and growth in the private sector and economy
  • INSPIRE for education and research
  • INSPIRE + Open Data + Copernicus + Social and Sensor Networks = Big Data?
  • Costs/Benefits and impacts of implementing INSPIRE
  • INSPIRE tales from implementation
  • Technologies, methods and tools required to deliver INSPIRE
  • INSPIRE based apps for Innovation – Short demonstrations
  • INSPIRE capacity building
  • The future of INSPIRE: Governance, policy and technology
  • INSPIRE Data and Service Sharing
  • INSPIRE as a component of SEIS and e-Reporting
  • Integrating eGovernment with INSPIRE
The deadline for submissions is the 14th March 2014.

Details on how to submit are available on the INSPIRE Conference site: http://inspire.jrc.ec.europa.eu/events/conferences/inspire_2014/

Public consultation on INSPIRE Implementation

We would also like to remind you the public consultation on INSPIRE implementation is still open,

The consultation is to seek the views of the general public and all stakeholders in order to help assess whether the actions already underway to establish an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community according to the INSPIRE directive 2007/2/EC are still on course to meet the objectives pursued.

The results of this public consultation will contribute to the INSPIRE interim-policy evaluation which according to the directive needs to be carried out 7 years after its entry into force. The outcome of the policy evaluation will be reported to the European Parliament and Council in 2014 and may lead to remedial policy action necessary to adapt current approaches so that they align better  - in the light of a changing environment  - with the achievement of the original objectives of INSPIRE.

The consultation is open until 24th February 2014.

Full details and background information are available at:  http://ec.europa.eu/environment/consultations/inspire_en.htm

Looking forward to meeting you in Aalborg,

The INSPIRE Team"

Távbemutató - a NASA földtudományos adatai és szolgáltatásai a NASA GCMD használatával

Mai postánkból. A webinár a HUNAGI földtudományos szakembereinek érdeklődésére tarthat számot. A távbemutatón való részvételhez szükséges meghívó küldése céljából írjon Jennifer Brennan (NASA EOSDIS USC) lenti e-mail címére. A témakörben Michael Morahan (NASA) már tartott előadást a közelmúltban Budapesten, a HUNAGI Copernicus műhelyén.
"
You have been invited to the NASA Earthdata Webinar "Discover Earth Science Data and Services using NASA's Global Change Master Directory."
Looking for Earth science data and/or services? NASA's Global Change Master Directory (GCMD)holds more than 29,000 Earth science data set and service descriptions, which cover a broad range of subject areas within the Earth and environmental sciences. This online directory assists researchers, policy makers, and the public in the discovery of and access to data, related services, and ancillary information (which includes descriptions of instruments and platforms) relevant to global change and Earth science research.

The GCMD also offers online authoring tools to providers of data and services, facilitating the capability to make their products available to the Earth science community. In addition, citation information to properly credit data set contributions is offered, along with direct links to data and services.

As an integral part of the project, keyword vocabularies have been developed and are constantly being refined and expanded. These vocabularies are also used in other applications within the broader scientific community.

The GCMD offers a user friendly interface for users to perform data discovery searches. Search capabilities include, but are not limited to:

*Search using controlled keywords
*Free-text searches
*Map/date searches or any combination of these.

Searches can be further refined by data center, geographic location, instrument, platform, project, or temporal/spatial resolution.

During this webinar we will cover: 1) Introduction to metadata and the GCMD mission; 2) Overview of GCMD search functionality and features; and 3) How to contribute Earth science metadata using the GCMD metadata authoring tool called docBUILDER.

Event: Discover Earth Science Data and Services using NASA GCMD
When: Wednesday 22 January 2014, 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM
Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5)
